Curated by Amanda Gatti and Pedro Mendes in collaboration with Mayrit Biennial’s Confluencias Programme, the Cine-Ciudad film programme will ‘explore the camera as a device that not only records reality but also structures visibility, memory and urban life’ and be presented at the Instituto Ling in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The cycle will include four sessions: Man with a Movie Camera — Dziga Vertov
An Unusual Summer — Kamal Aljafari
Faceless — Manu Luksch
Selection of short films by emerging Spanish artists.
Each session of Cine-Ciudad consists of a screening followed by a public discussion with local researchers and curators.
